Framework programme of study visits to Iceland

Introduction to study visits.
Reservoir condition, geothermal in Iceland's power engineering and economy. Overview of the geothermal use in Iceland (examples relevant for Polish conditions) and its various aspects.
Information from the participants on geothermal energy in Poland, plans and prospects in selected locations.
Study visits to selected geothermal heating facilities.
Operating and process parameters, power generation, environmental and economic aspects and examples of other applications.
Meetings and discussions of the visiting group members with the representatives of Icelandic institutions, establishing contacts.

The study visits will focus on showing the use of geothermal energy for heating (power generation) purposes, energetically and economically effective solution and state-of-the-art zero-emission technologies (important for the Polish stakeholders and relevant for Polish conditions).
